This project focuses on environmental improvement and restoration in the Champaign-Urbana community through collaborations with local park districts and forest, nature, and wildlife preserves. Volunteers can also be important advocates educating the public on a variety of environmental issues.

Why I love VIP: "VIP has given me many amazing opportunities to get involved in the Urbana-Champaign community and widen my perspective beyond campus. I think it's important for students who are privileged enough to be attending the university to give back to the area they are residing in. I also love the flexibility and the room we have to work these volunteer events into our schedules! It's super fun, and I highly recommend to anyone wanting to get some community service into their lives :)"
About my project: "Not to sound biased, but VIP's Environmental Project is super fun and a great way to contribute to the community and environment as a whole! I chose the project as a freshman in college as Assistant Project Director and had a super great time learning the ropes from my Project Director. Now as Project Director, I hope to create a similar, informative, fun, and rewarding experience for all of those attending Environmental Project events!"
