Why I love VIP: "I love VIP because it gives students the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community. Throughout the numerous events I have attended through VIP, I have gained incredible personal growth and leadership skills. Being part of VIP has allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about service which has made it a fulfilling and rewarding experience."
As President, Govind oversees the daily operations of the Executive Board and Project Directors. In addition to leading monthly meetings, he engages with project directors and volunteers to resolve problems and explore creative ways to serve the Champaign-Urbana community. As President, Govind also represents VIP in various campus circles. His vision for VIP is to nurture an inclusive community of student volunteers that will continue to serve well beyond their years as Illini.
Stephanie Espino
Position: Vice-President, External
Year: Junior
Major: Bioengineering
Hobbies: Tennis, drinking boba, and traveling
Why I love VIP: "I love being surrounded by so many like-minded people. I have made a lot of friends and connections through this organization, and I’ve also participated in many amazing events."
As Internal Vice-President, Stephanie works closely with our Project Directors. She conducts monthly evaluations and coordinates the growth and development of the group. She and Anagha also work cooperatively to plan monthly socials. Her hope for VIP is to foster a community of dedicated volunteers who create a positive impact in the Champaign-Urbana community.
Anagha Dangi
Position: Vice-President, Internal
Year: Senior
Major: Molecular and Cellular Biology and Brain and Cognitive Science
Hobbies: Reading
Why I love VIP: "My favorite thing about VIP its impact, the projects that compose the body of the organization have immense breath and depth that we are able to target critical groups within our local community. Due to the scope of the organization we are able to make an effective change within our community! VIP also offers immense flexibility for its members. This makes volunteering incredibly accessible for those who are interested."

As External Vice-President, Anagha performs many of the responsibilities that help VIP run smoothly. She supports our Project Directors by helping coordinate spaces for events and tracking volunteer attendance at their events. She and Stephanie also plan and execute our monthly socials. Her hope for VIP is to provide an environment that allows people to explore their interests while helping the community.
Julia Lisiecki
Position: Treasurer
Year: Sophomore
Major: Integrative Biology Honors
Hobbies: Volleyball, video games, reading
Why I love VIP: "I love the variety of projects I can be involved with! It's also amazing seeing a large group of people come together to do good in the community."

As Treasurer, Julia handles VIP’s financial operations. She assists the Executive Board and Project Directors in budgeting for their events, as well as completing necessary reimbursements. Julia also takes an active role in organizing large scale events that involve more intensive planning. Her hope for VIP is to reach out to underrepresented populations and increase volunteerism within the community.
Maximilian Elloye
Position: Engagement Chair
Year: Senior
Major: Industrial Engineering
Minor: Hoeft Technology and Management
Hobbies: Martial Arts, Tennis, Baking
Why I love VIP: "VIP is a great way to get involved within the broader Champaign Urbana community away from campus, across a variety of fields. Being able to connect with fellow volunteers along with leaders in the community makes for an immersive and engaging experience, while also being able to contribute to the improvement of the local community."
As Engagement Chair, Max maintains communication with past VIP members. He is currently creating a seasonal alumni newsletter that will enable volunteers of years past to see the great work being done by today’s volunteers. He additionally coordinates volunteer outreach and collaborations with other RSOs on campus.
His hope for VIP is to help alumni stay connected with the organization and to help VIP make a positive impact in the community.

Why I love VIP: "I love VIP because it has given me so many opportunities to get involved in the community! It was also an amazing place for me to meet other people with common interests!"
As PR Chair, Julia updates our website and assists in managing our social media accounts. She regularly attends events to document her experiences from the volunteer perspective. Julia also helps our board members publicize their events throughout campus. Her vision for VIP is to motivate more people around her to be involved in the community, and to share opportunities to volunteer.
Tati Scaife
Position: Public Relations Chair

Major: Financial Planning
Hobbies: Writing, reading, and painting
Why I love VIP: "I love VIP because we give back to the community in various of ways for a great cause. It’s a great feeling to give back to the community just as much as the community gives back to us in a positive way."
